FALL 2011 -- Volunteers in the Baltimore area needed to help run a Project Team program on Tuesdays from 5-6pm at the Moravia Park Elementary/Middle School in conjunction with the Refugee Youth Project. Must be able to provide your own transporation and have an interest working with youth, teaching teamwork skills through fun and interactive small group activities. Please contact Jason Woody at 443-822-9650 or jason@dbpt.org.
We are also seeking UMBC students to volunteer with Project Team in the Fall 2011 semester through the Shriver Center. Please contact Clare Greene at clare6@umbc.edu.
Our New York program is currently on hiatus. If you are interested in helping us restart a site there, please contact Jason Woody at jason@dbpt.org.
Volunteering with Project Team is a fun and rewarding way to connect with your community. Typically volunteers will spend 2-3 hours per week mentoring elementary school youth in an after-school environment to teach skills in communication, respect, and teamwork.
If you are interested in learning more about any of these opportunities or starting your own chapter, please contact us at info@dbpt.org.
